Check out Simon's adorable hair! He is walking...when he wants. He's lazy, he finds that's it's faster to crawl, so he'll often drop to the floor and crawl. He says "book", "push", and he said "peach" the other day. He's a TOTAL cuddle bug and loves to give hugs and kisses. James is doing so good. We are so proud of him. He's a huge eater and gaining weight at a great pace. We love being home with our boys, they are such a gift!

James is Home
Ok, so I haven't been great on posting new pictures or updates on James. The wonderful news is that James was discharged from the hospital on my birthday! What an incredible birthday gift! He has been doing so great, and eating like a champ. The doctor who discharged him said that it is practically unheard of for a preemie his age and size to be taking in the volumes from breastfeeding that he was. We were shocked to be bringing him home so soon, especially because just two days before that, I had asked when I should bring in his carseat for his carseat check (they make sure that his airways don't collapse while sitting in it for a long period of time) and they told me not to worry, that I still had plenty of time to get that done. The next thing you know, he's being put on demand feeding and they are asking us to room-in with him so he can be discharged the next day!
Bringing him home was awesome! We couldn't wait to introduce James to Simon. We had my parents and Chris' mom keep Simon in the lower living room while we quietly came in the front door. We took James out of his carseat and asked that they bring Simon up. Knowing how much Simon loves to point out babies, we thought that it would be fun to ask him where the baby was and that was perfect. He came into the room and we asked, "Simon, where's the baby?" He got this huge smile and pointed to James. It was such a great moment for us. And Simon has been so good with James. We just feel so blessed.

James Update
Wow, James has been well! After only 24 hours in the NICU, he was moved to the intermediate care nursery and is still breathing on his own. He has gained an ounce since birth and has tried a few "practice" nursings. He's still so little and gets tired very easily. His cry is so adorable, so we had to get it on video tonight. I'm off to bed, but wanted to at least get something up. We appreciate your continued prayers for James as we just can't wait to have him home and healthy!

James in 3D

Ok, I know I haven't posted in forever and will post some new pictures of Simon soon! Today we had our 4D ultrasound of James and it was so awesome to see him. He is bundled in a ball in there though! He had his feet in his mouth a ton. So adorable, we loved seeing him. Two and a half weeks ago, I had a preterm labor test where the results came back positive that the chances of my water breaking before 35 weeks were big, then, just this week, they retested and this time, the results came back negative. So that is good news, meaning that the amniotic sac is repairing itself. I will test again in two weeks. I am practically on bedrest, with the doctor not wanting me to do much of anything, but this is how it's been since I was about 16 weeks. If the doctor had her way, I wouldn't be carrying Simon, I wouldn't be doing anything around the house or going many places, but with a 13 month old, that's impossible. We tend to stay home quite a bit, or wait for Grandma Morrone to come and help us get to the grocery store. We've been lucky to have Mom and Dad Los here last month for Simon's birthday and this weekend for the ultrasound! In other news, Simon has been taking his first steps recently, but quickly realizes that no one is holding his hands and sits down and he FINALLY has his first tooth, with two others coming through as well! He's so incredible and getting so big!

Meet James

Well, today we found out that we are having another boy...something that we really already knew. James has a special story about his name. Two weeks before I found out that I was pregnant, I was sitting in church when the Lord told me that I was going to have another boy and to name him James. This sparked a little bit of a heated discussion on my part where I simply told the Lord, "My spirit does not receive what you are saying to me Lord because the next time I get pregnant, it's going to be a girl and you better not be telling me that I am pregnant right now!" I kept debating on if I should even mention this to Chris and once we got home, I had told him that he might not want to even know what the Lord shared with me that morning since Simon was only 7 months old. But Jesus knows best and knows what we need, so we are thrilled to be having another boy. One thing thing for sure is, it's going to be a lot cheaper! And really, I knew that I was going to have two boys when I was nine weeks pregnant with Simon. While in Redding, I was sitting by myself at the kitchen table when the Lord told me that he needed more men raised up who know how to be a father and a husband and that Chris was a perfect example of that, so not to be surprised if I had a little boy, and not to be surprised if we are blessed to have two little boys. The Lord couldn't be more right and I am so blessed to be married to such an incredible man. We are so excited!
Simon LOVES the Jacuzzi
This past weekend, we decided last minute to drive to Oregon to suprise mom for her birthday. It was great for Simon to be able to get to spend some time with them and of course, he loves that jacuzzi. Just look at how adorable he is! Also, new news is that Simon is crawling! It's only been about two weeks, but he's all over the house. He can even go up the stairs...daddy let him go up two stairs while he was right there, I was freaking out! So, baby gates are totally needed!
